With the right care, Anchor & Mane extensions stay soft, seamless and beautiful for their full lifespan. Share these guidelines with your clients to protect every install.
Before washing, thoroughly and gently brush the hair to remove any tangles, working from the ends upward. Gently hand wash with a sulfate-free and paraben-free shampoo (Goldielocks haircare is highly recommended). Never bring the ends of the extensions up to the head and vigorously rub them together — this tangles the extensions. Leave conditioner in for 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
Gently squeeze out excess water and blot with a cotton towel. Use a large wide-tooth comb to detangle and straighten while the extensions are damp, working in sections starting with the hair under all rows, then moving to the bottom row.
Anchor & Mane hair can be styled with a boar’s hair bristle brush, flat iron, or curling iron.
Use only sulfate-free and paraben-free products. We recommend our luxury brands — not all products are extension compatible. Avoid any products containing alcohol, oil, or ethanol.
Use caution when applying and using sunscreen. Some sunscreens, especially sprays, contain chemicals that can cause discoloration to the hair. We suggest a vegan or all-natural, non-aerosol sunscreen to prevent discoloration.
